How to Draw a Werewolf Head

1

Let us begin by making the guide shapes that will help form the werewolf's head. A circle should be drawn in first, then from that shape draw the arched shape for the neck.

2

You will now begin forming the werewolf's snout and nose. The outer lining should be rippled or ridged because this werewolf is snarling. Before leaving this step, draw in the forehead.

3

We will use the facial guideline to draw in the werewolf eye. Draw the expressive eye definition surrounding the actual eyeball.

4

We will now complete the jaw and mouth like so. When the shape is drawn, add in the teeth, gum line and lip line.

5

In this step we will finish the head and face shape by sketching out the tuft of spiked hair on the top of the head and then draw in the large pointed ear. Draw in the jaw line and cheek shape, then add a long whisker on the werewolf's chin.

6

Draw in the left ear, and then draw the first layer of hair on the back part of the head. The werewolf's neck will be drawn in layers using the long hair.

7

Lastly, finish off this drawing by adding the remaining three layers of fur that will make up the arch of the werewolf's neck. Once you are done you can erase whatever mistakes you might have.

8

Here is the line art which is now ready to color in. I hope you enjoyed this lesson on how to draw a werewolf head.

Description: I was just playing around on my tablet and one thing led to another when I created this drawing that is now a tutorial. Today, I will take what I sketched out for fun, and show you all how to draw a werewolf head, step by step. The sketch is a bit rough, but since it didn't come out as a total loss I wanted to just turn something cool into a lesson. Werewolves were one of the first creatures that I started out drawing when I was a kid. In fact, the main creatures/figures that I often attempted to recreate where; werewolves, dragons, mermaids, dinosaurs, and birds. On occasion I would draw other mythical beasts like dryads, hell hounds and other creatures that gave me a challenge to draw. Anyways, I do hope that this lesson on drawing a werewolf head helps those of you that have had a hard time with creating something cool, yet simple to draw. I will be back with more tuts so stay tuned in.
