Let us start with the guidelines for the dagger and the snake's body.

2

Next, sketch in the shape of your snakes head and then incorporate the fangs and some of the neck, bottom jaw and jaw bone.

3

Next, draw the indentation to the top of the snakes skin for texture, then draw in the eye, nostril, and tongue.

4

We will tackle the task of drawing the body. Be sure that the body is thick and curled. Add scales on the belly and neck.

5

We will now draw the dagger through the snakes mid-section like so. When you do this add detailing to the handle and on the blade. The blade should look weathered.

6

For the last drawing step draw in the rest of the snakes body including the tail, then add the scales over different parts of the body. Erase your mistakes and all the guidelines/shapes.

7

That's it. You are all done. Now you can color in your snake and dagger before you show off your skills to others.

Description: This next tutorial goes out to all you fans out there that have a thing for snakes and daggers. Today, I will show you a very cool lesson on how to draw a snake and dagger tattoo, step by step. I can't tell you enough how much I love the end result to this colored piece of a snake and dagger. The knife in this drawing is not actually a sword or a dagger. It's more like a sabre that is used by Persians. They are actually called daggers, but just not the American form of dagger. Even though this drawing is in black and white, I still managed to get some colored added by giving the snake red eyes, red mouth tissue and tongue, and some blood on the tip of the blade. Anyways, I know this is going to be an exciting drawing lesson to tackle so I want all ya'll to upload your finished work to the site so I can check out how you did. Adios amigos and have fun.
