First off , start by drawing basically a stick figure . When you get the pose right move on the drawing the outline .
Now, built the outline on your stick figure . Out of all the mortal kombat characters, Baraka is the only one without a neck , maybe the developers forgot to make him one, i don't know, just keep that in mind.
Finally ,sketch the details .
Your sketch should look like mine with the exception of the symbols on his chest . I decided not to add those in the digital steps as they tended to look like male specific appendices . They're supposed to be some weird shaped skulls , you can add them now.
Shading time. Start with a light layer of grey on the areas most dark . Use a 2B pencil .
Use a blending tool to smudge and blend the area on which you worked .
Now add the darkest layer, which is almost black .
Time for details . Start off with the head and chest .
Make a few more detailed shadows on his robe .
Move left to him right arm and blade.
Shade his belt and skirt .....thing . I forgot to sketch the skull on the belt so I made it on the spot.
Now do his left arm .
Finally, shade his pants and boots .
I made the background using scraped graphite , smudged on the paper using some cotton . The black thing under him was made using an 8B pencil , I don't know what it's supposed to be, imagine he's sitting on a black hole ....in space. You're done!
