How to Draw a Snake For Beginners

Start with a head shape and then a single line for the slithering body.

We will now draw the shape of the snake's head like so, then draw in some of the back part of the head and body.

Up next, draw the snake's big bold eye with thick lining at the top and then draw the slithering tongue. Don't forget the nostrils.

Finish the snake's body and then you are done.

Draw the scales for the belly of the snake's body and then erase your mistakes if any and the guidelines.

The stripes should be added on the entire back of the snake's body and then you are all set.

Here is the line art. Now you can color in the drawing to show off your work.

Well, this snake is so cute, I wanted to make sure that everyone can tackle the tut with no hesitation or complications. There is only six simple steps that will send you on your way to drawing this snake. You can color the snake in to look like a cobra, rattlesnake, or even a mamba.
