How to Draw Mother Nature

Step 1.

Let us start with the head guide like so, then sketch in the neck guideline.

Step 2.

Using the guide you just made begin sketching out the profile for Mother Nature's face. This should include the nose, mouth and chin.

Step 3.

Sketch in her closed eye with thick, bold lashes. Then draw in the ear and detailing around the ear. Since this is Mother Nature, she has roots growing from her face as she is the internal earth. Sketch in these detailed roots on her cheek, and above her brow.

Step 4.

Up next, we will begin sketching out the thick root coming from the top of her head. These pieces are going to act as her hair which will be drawn to look like dreadlock like roots. Add detailing to this shape and then proceed to step five.

Step 5.

Continue to work on the side of the face and more of the root like hair. Also sketch out the back shape of her neck as well.

Step 6.

Finish and define the shape of the front part of Mother Nature's neck, then sketch in the shoulders and back to a very distinctive design. She should look like she is rooted to Earth.

Step 7.

Lastly, add some small flowers blooming from her roots and chin, then add a bit of moss dripping from the end tip of her root. Erase your mistakes and guides as well.

Step 8.

That's it. You are all done. Now you can have fun coloring in Mother Nature. I hope you enjoyed this lesson as much as I did making it.
