Start with a perfect circle for the moon shape like so.

2

In this step you will draw in the impact craters that are on the moon's surface like so.

3

Lastly, and yes I said lastly.. Draw the beam that shoots through the moon. You will add color to the beam on the right for the rainbow.

4

And there you have it. Easy right? You are done drawing The Dark Side of the Moon. Color in your beam to look like the rainbow and add some dark shading for space.

Description: This lesson was done solely for my love of the band 'Pink Floyd'. It's an image that I know most of you will recognize because there are shirts, posters, pins and other merchandise around the world. Up next, we will be learning how to draw the Dark Side of the Moon, step by step which is the logo or cover art from the Pink Floyd album called 'Dark Side of the Moon'. I know in the traditional art of the album it's a triangle in the center instead of the moon, but I wanted to be dramatic so I went ahead and made the album cover a moon instead of a triangle. The tracks that you can find on Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon are; Speak to Me/Breathe, On the Run, Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage and Eclipse. If you have been waiting for this cover art as a lesson here you go. Of course you can draw the typical triangle, but you too can be dramatic and draw the moon.
