1

Start with a guide shape for the head/face and then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Using the guide you made, sketch in the actual structure of Bradley's face like so, then draw in the formation of his ear.

3

Up next, tackle the eyes by drawing the eyebrows with the right one being more prominent. Color it in and then sketch out the shape of the nose.

4

Continue to work on his eyes by drawing the upper lid lines. Add some creases to the eyes and then proceed to step five.

5

We will finish the eyes by sketching out the bottom lid and add some wrinkling under both eyes. He is giving off a expressive stare. Draw in detailing inside the ear, then add a crease on the side of the nose for the frown line.

6

We will now finish off this drawing on Bradley Nowell by adding shading to the left eye, forehead wrinkling, and then the hairline for his stubby style crew cut hairstyle. Don't forget to sketch in his lips or mouth, then add some fuzz around the fac

That's it. Here is your line art. Now you can enjoy the task of adding some color if you like.

Description: Here is a face that I have been wanting to make a tutorial on for quite some time. I am a huge fan of the band that he belonged to, and I know there are thousands more who are too. Having said that, here is a lesson on how to draw Bradley Nowell, step by step from the band Sublime. The band Sublime formed back in the late eighties and consisted of three members; Bradley Nowell, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh. Oh yeah, let's not forget the fourth member, Lou Dog. Lou Dog was actually Bradley's dalmatian dog that he considered part of the crew. Sublime was a band out of California and had a strong reggae/rock sound. Anyways, it was tough finding a picture to use as a reference for drawing Bradley Nowell so I had to work with what I found. If you are a Sublime fan and have been waiting for this lesson, I hope you have fun tackling it. I will be back with a few more lessons so don't move, and sit tight.
