How to draw Kurt Russell, Snake Plissken

Step 1.

Draw a circle then the jaw line under it. Make the guidelines for the eyebrows , eyes and mouth. Roughly sketch the neck and shoulders .

Step 2.

Now sketch the hair and make the outline of the face .

Step 3.

Finally sketch the details

Step 4.

Now your sketch should look like this .

Step 5.

With a 2B pencil quickly hash the main dark areas , all over the drawing, including the hair.

Step 6.

Now blend every area you hashed except the hair .

Step 7.

Now add a darker layer and smudge it as well . Use a 3B pencil, or even the same 2B but you have to press harder.

Step 8.

After you've smudged make a few more slight shadows and a few details.

Step 9.

Draw one half of the hair , it's mostly black so you don't have to go into much detail.

Step 10.

Now make the other half of the hair and leave a few highlights .

Step 11.

Finally draw the shirt black and you're done.

S.D. Bob "Snake" Plissken is a fictional character from the films Escape from New York and Escape from L.A.. He is portrayed by Kurt Russell, and created by director John Carpenter and screenwriter Nick Castle. He is a former Special Forces operator/war hero in World War III turned criminal. The movies follow his apprehension by the United States Police Force and subsequent conscription to extract top-secret material from the ex-cities turned maximum security prisons of New York and Los Angeles. He is the protagonist.
