“Animals are wonderful, animals are fun. Draw your own animal and then your all done”. That was my version of a cute poem about animals. Why did I just write that down? Well, let's just say that I am in an animalistic mood right now. Anyways, I hope you guys are all ready for another great tutorial on “how to draw a hyena step by step”. Let's talk a little about the classic laughing animal that is known world wide. The hyena is an animal that scavenges through the left overs of other dead animals that were killed by lions, tigers, and other carnivorous mammals that romp the lands of Africa, Haiti, Kenya and so on. There are three different types of hyena and the one that I am showing you how to draw today is called the “spotted hyena”. The other two are “striped hyena”, and the “brown hyena”. These animals are very robust and hearty looking even though they have personalities of animals that are starving. Their diet is based on but not limited to; birds, bugs, lizards, snakes, and other animals of that nature. Though it may not seem like it, hyenas are incredibly skilled hunters that work together enabling them to take down very big animals like wildebeest. Unlike other African plains animals, the hyena is virtually an overpopulated animal that come in contact with villagers on a frequent basis. Did you know that the Kenyan people will sometimes leave their dead out for the taking so that hyenas feed on their remains? It's true, places like Kenya and Tanzania deal with the overpopulation of hyenas so much that they throw out the dead to keep the animals from feeding on the alive, (or so I've read). Anyway I know most people think that hyenas are close relatives to dogs right? Wrong, these scavengers are more like cats than any other animal out there. Weird huh? Okay enough about the hyena and on with the tutorial. I will shut up so that you can tackle this lesson on “how to draw a hyena step by step”. I shall return so stay tuned into
