How to Draw a Butterfly Eye

Let's start by drawing the upper lid line which is feathery or has thick lashes.

Next, draw in the bottom lid line, then proceed to step three.

You will finish the actual eye by drawing the shape of the iris and color in a pupil.

Add a crease line to create the top of the eye shape.

We will draw the outline of a large butterfly wing that encloses the eye like you see here. The butterfly wing can be any style you like.

Begin drawing the wing design which is two separate sections like so. They are cloudy shaped.

We will now add the rib lines in a very thick, dark lining concept like so.

Next, color in the outer parts of the wing like you see here until the area is black. If there are mistakes you can erase them now.

Add some nice glitter to the drawing and you are all done.

Description: I have another eye lesson for you and I must say, this is one of my favorite eye designs I have done thus far. Here is my take on how to draw a butterfly style eye, step by step. This eye design is not something that you would want to wear outside, but if you would like to do something like this butterfly eye to your own eyes for fun, you can totally try and create the effect. There is nothing really to say except I think this butterfly eye concept is beautiful, and I know the coloring style definitely pops off the page.
