How to Draw Annabelle

Step 1.

Start with a circle guide for the head, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

Here you will sketch out the shape or structure of Annabelle's face, then draw in the ruffled up braid which her face or chin is almost tucked into.

Step 3.

Next, draw in the straight lined thick bangs and make sure that there are gaps between the lining.

Step 4.

Use the facial guidelines to draw in the shape of Annabelle's nose, then draw in the frown lines at the sides of the nose and soon to be mouth.

Step 5.

Draw in Annabelle's lips or mouth. I purposely drew them a little off to give it that creepy effect.

Step 6.

Next, draw in the typical doll shaped eyes and add a bump for the cheek.

Step 7.

Draw the iris' and color in some small pupils. You will sketch in the lashes, and crease lines for the eyes.

Step 8.

Finish Annabelle off by sketching out the rest of her head shape and then her hair. Her hair is cupping or framing her face and it's in the form of thick braids. Add detailing to the braids and erase all the mistakes and guides.

Step 9.

This is the line art. Now color her in. Annabelle will be a scary film for anyone to watch if you like supernatural horror movies.

Don't be creeped out when you see this lesson, but I just had to make this tutorial on "how to draw Annabelle", step by step. She is one of the main characters from the 2014 horror flick that has already been released in theaters and when it comes to my hometown I plan on going to see it. The whole concept of the movie is based on horrific events that take place when a demonic possessed doll enters the home of a family with a newborn baby. I don't want to say too much because spoiling a film isn't always the best thing to do when you are bound to be terrified. Enjoy drawing Annabelle and I will be back in a bit.
