How to Draw Kobato from Haganai

Step 1.

Make the outlined shape of the face for Kobato. Add the facial guidelines then a shoulder guideline.

Step 2.

Define the shape of Kobato's face structure, then draw in her long thick bangs.

Step 3.

Next, draw in the large shapes of her eyes which feather out into a point. We will then draw the eyebrows, nose and mouth.

Step 4.

Draw in the rest of the head shape, then draw in the cat or fox ear headband that she is wearing and also add detailing inside the ears.

Step 5.

Next, draw the neck, then draw in the shoulders, arm and chest.

Step 6.

Next, draw in her wavy pigtails that are not only long, but thick as well. Sketch in the detailing to the pigtails and then draw the ruffled ribbons.

Step 7.

Lastly, draw the halter style top and the rest of the dress or material for the dress. Add wrinkles to the hip indent. Erase the guides and mistakes before calling this drawing finished.

Step 8.

That's all there is to it folks. Now you can color her in to bring her to life.

This tutorial goes out to all you Haganai fans that have been waiting for some tuts on some of the girls from the series. I will start with "how to draw Kobato", step by step. This pretty faced blonde bombshell is the younger sister to Kodaka. Kobato has long blonde straight hair, wears a series of outfits, and has one red eye and one blue eye. I actually don't know why her eye is green in the colored drawing, but I'm guessing because I wasn't thinking about it at the time. I probably got her confused with some other character. Anyways drawing Kobato shouldn't be too bad. There's really not much to her design. Have fun and let me know how your drawing turned out.
