Like the manta ray, this tutorial on how to draw a beluga whale will also be in three different views. You will first draw out a series of circle shapes for your whale as seen here. Once that is done add the facial guidelines and then the body guidel

For step two, you will start drawing out the beluga whales face as you see here starting with the shape of it's head. Next draw an arched line on the front view for the nose, and then two squint lines for the eyes. You will then draw out the shape of

This is your last drawing step and you will simply finish off the beluga whale by drawing out the shapes of the flippers, and body for the front view beluga. Next on the side view you will draw out the inner lining of it's mouth and then add the shap

In the end your sketch of the beluga whale should come out looking like the one you see here. All you have to do is color him/her in and you have just learned how to draw a beluga whale step by step.

Description: The manta ray was a cool drawing lesson huh? For my second tutorial I will show you “how to draw a beluga whale step by step”. For those of you that have no idea what a beluga whale is or even looks like, I will tell you now. The beluga whale is a small stout sea creature that lives in very cold Arctic and sub-Arctic waters. Sometimes these whales will migrate to warmer waters during the summer months but not often. Although it would seem that the beluga whale has many close relatives of its species, the fact is the narwhal is its closest relative to the beluga whale. Remember when I said that the beluga is a small stout animal? Well to be more specific, these whales only get to be around fifteen feet long which is half the size of the manta ray. The beluga whale may be half the size, but it does weight a bit more than the manta coming in at nearly three thousand four hundred pounds. From birth up until the whale reaches five years old their skin is a dark gray to bluish or brownish gray until they reach sexual maturity. Once they have reached maturity, the beluga whale will gradually turn a yellowish white to milky white color. These beautiful looking whales are the only of it's kind that can move its head freely back and forth, and side to side. Almost like the way a dolphin can. They are able to move like this because the beluga has a seven neck vertebrae that is not fused. They have small tiny eyes, a round shaped head, their bodies consists of thick layers of blubber, and like most whales they also have a blow hole. The name of this whale means “white one” in the Russian language. One of the most popular things about the “white whale” is the way they communicate. Beluga whales have a vocalization skill that enables their songs and speech to be heard above the ocean water. Because of this they have earned the name “Sea Canaries” and they are able to make several different types of noises ranging from clicks, squeals, whistles and much, much more. Did you know that the beluga whale is often called a “squid hound”? It's true, the white whale was labeled a squid hound because of it's diet. They eat squid, octopus, crustaceans, and fish. They use their small teeth (34 to be exact) to grab onto their prey. If you really look at one of these animals in a big sea aquarium, you will notice how beautiful this creature is. I on the other hand will show you how to draw a beluga whale step by step. It is very simple to accomplish because I made the steps easy to follow and understand. I hope you have fun with lesson, I shall return in a bit.
