Owl tattoo

1

First you want to draw the basic shape of the owl.

2

I started by adding the eyes and their outlines. The eyebrow is feather like so on the bottom of it make it look like it's made of feathers.

3

Start shading the eyes really dark so they stand out along with the outlines around the eyes and cheeks.

4

Do the fancy design on the forehead, it's swirls and a heart just above the eyebrow.

5

Next is the keyhole in the chest. It is surrounded by flower like designs. Also add the feathers under the cheeks.

6

The fancy design is also swirls around the keyhole.

7

You then add the branch and the owls talons.

8

At this point you are adding the tail feathers and the body feathers. For this I just lightly drew feather like shapes and added lines.

9

You shade inside the scroll design on the chest, and no the little feathers below the same as you did the others; really dark.

10

Shade the body feathers really light with darker (not as dark as the previous shading)streaks. Do the same with the tail feathers.

11

This is the part where you now add the key. The ring should be right under the left talons with a little touching. Make sure not to make the key too big, the end of it should only be 2-3 inches below the tail feathers.

12

This is what your final product should look like.

Description: This picture has a lot of shading, and it will take awhile to draw. The skill level is intermediate and I hope you have fun drawing this.
