How to Draw Black Dahlia

1

Start off by drawing the profile of her face like so. All you need to make is the forehead, nose, lips, chin and come of her neck.

2

Sketch in her bangs like so, and as you can see they are parted.

3

Begin drawing in the dahlia flower like so. As you can see all you have to do is make a few small petals.

4

Draw more of the dahlia in like so, then move along to step four.

5

Sketch in the detailing to her hair or bangs, then again proceed to step five.

6

The next thing to do is draw the lips along with the cut or blood line that drips down the cheek.

7

Lightly sketch in Elizabeth's eyebrow, then sketch in the first part of her eye along with the definition along the jawline to form the face structure.

8

Continue to work on her eye, then add lashes.

9

Finish her face off by sketch in the long lashes, then add detailing under the eye, around the nose and add a nostril line. Don't forget to draw the eyeball, and color in the pupil.

10

That's it, you are all done. You can color in the drawing to finish it all off.

Description: This lesson might be a bit grim because of the actual concept of the person involved, but I really wanted to make a tutorial on how to draw Black Dahlia, step by step after watching one of the episodes from 'American Horror Story' the first season. Mena Suvari is the female actress who plays Elizabeth Short, the women who was found mutilated on the side of the road. I'm not going to get into details because it's pretty disturbing, but I will say that this heinous crime still remains unsolved. The picture of Elizabeth Short is a recreation of the movie cover 'Black Dahlia' starring josh Hartnett and Scarlett Johansson. I hope you enjoy this lesson regardless who it's on. Adios amigos and good luck.
