How to Draw a Scorpion Tattoo

1

Make a oblong shape for the body, then draw the tail end of the tail.

2

Now, starting at the front of the shape you just made, begin sketching out the head. Make sure the points are added as well.

3

Draw another layer of the scorpion's body like so, then move to step four.

4

You will now add more of the tribal like pattern to add more of the body development.

5

When this step is done your body for the scorpion should look like a clustered, pointed cocoon. Add detailing along the sides, then proceed to step six where you will begin the tail.

6

Sketch out the ruff, ridged sides of the tail like so, then draw a indent line down the center of the tail like so.

7

Continue to add layers until you get to the end. Once you have finished drawing the tail, you will need to add a spear like tip which is not attached. This is the tribal like aspect of the drawing.

8

Okay, now draw the arms or claws which are very jagged, pointed and full of angles.

9

Begin drawing the scorpion's legs. As you can see they are more like hook shaped legs then long straight legs.

10

Draw in the last two legs on the left side of the scorpion's body. The last two do not look the same as the ones you previously made.

11

You will repeat the same task on the right side of your scorpion like so, then continue on to the next and last step.

12

That's it, you are all done with this lesson once you draw the last two legs. After that, erase the mistakes and guides.

13

Here is the finished drawing once all is done. You can go ahead and color in your scorpion tattoo and tackle something new.
