How to Draw Shakira

1

You will begin by sketching out the guide for the head or face. Sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Sketch out the lining the form or structure of her face which is going to be drawn on an angle on a 3/4 view slant.

3

Sketch out the shape of her nose, then draw the nice set of full lips that are almost perfectly aligned.

4

Use the horizontal line to begin sketching her eyes out with. Add the thick lashes, and notice how the upper lid thickens near the ends.

5

Next up, sketch out her eyebrows but don't make them too dark. Draw the eyeballs, shade in some of the iris and then add the opening line for her mouth. You will then add some dimples too.

6

If there is one thing I like about Shakira's style is her beautiful hair. I love how her hair falls relaxedly down the shoulders. Very thick wavy chunks should be formed starting at the front scalp. This will frame her face.

7

You will now draw the shape of her neck, then draw the shoulders add the shirt line. This should be very simple for you to do.

8

For the last step you will sketch out the other side of her hairstyle. This should also be wavy long lines that will make up that thick full look. Erase the mistakes then you're done.

9

The line art is simple and clean when you are done. You can either color her in or leave this lesson as a sketch.

Description: Who would think that the face you see before you now is almost forty years old. Today I will show you "how to draw Shakira", step by step. Despite what some folks believe, or think they know, Shakira isn't full Latino. She does in fact have Italian blood in her ancestry. Recently her music has been on the radio. The first one is her song titled 'Gypsy'. My sisters actually turned me onto that song because I used to hear them sing it all day long or at least the verse "I'm a Gypsy". Her other new song that I heard on the radio the other day is a duo with Rihanna. It's called "Can't Remember to Forget You", and I think it's going to be one of those catchy phrase songs. Anyway I tried to keep this lesson simple for folks of all skill levels to try so let me know how you found the difficulty level. I shall meet you guy back here in a bit folks so try to stick around.
