How to Draw Wisdom Kanji, Wisdom Kanji

Step 1.

You will first need to decide what kind of drawing tool you will use. You can go with a pencil if you are not familiar with making Japanese words, or you can choose a thick marker or felt pen. Once you decide what you will use in this lesson, draw a single swoop starting from left, then down.

Step 2.

Next, draw another thick, bold line straight down and at the end have the line swoop to the left.

Step 3.

Draw a horizontal line like you see here, and as you get toward the right tip thin out the line.

Step 4.

Make two more marks with one of them looking like a thick bold T. These marks are almost painted on the canvas or paper when written.

Step 5.

For the last step, draw a box shape that looks to be squished like so. Erase whatever mistakes you made.

Step 6.

And here is the Japanese word 'wisdom'. You can use this word for whatever you would like.

It was suggested that I make more lessons on Kanji or Japanese words because they are both useful, and make cool tattoo designs. I decided that making more Kanji would be beneficial for those of you that love drawing Japanese words or even phrases. Here is "how to draw wisdom Kanji", step by step. For the background I chose a nice soft cherry blossom petal shower to add some peace and harmony to the drawing image. Of course you can choose to draw any background you like, this is the one I liked best. Drawing Kanji is just like drawing graffiti, all you are doing is making lines that form letters or words. In this case the word we are drawing is written in Japanese context. I hope you have fun with this tut, because it was a real joy to create.
