Very easy lesson. Draw a good sized shape for the entire body and head for Cardinal. Sketch in the facial guidelines next.

2

You will now draw a dew drop shape for the entire form of Cardinal's existence. Notice how there is feathers sticking up on the head. This is to keep the characteristics of the actual bird.

3

Here you will draw the actual marking on the front part of the bird's face. The straight line across the brow is for the eyebrow. This will help make the look on Cardinal's face more intense and sterile.

4

Up next, draw the triangular shaped beak like so, then draw the two small circle eyes. Add some light feathering under the beak as well.

5

Next, sketch in the feathers for the wings, tail and more for the top of his head.

6

For the last step all you have to do is draw out the small ankles for the legs and then draw the feet or talons. Erase the mistakes and you are done.

7

So, you drew Cardinal from The Nut Job huh? Awesome. All you have to do now is color in the drawing. Great work people.

Description: This is the last tutorial on a character from The Nut Job that I will upload today. I did find out that The Nut Job will be in theaters January 17, 2014. So now is a good time to mark the date on your calendars if you plan on going to see the film with your family or friends. Up next, we will learn "how to draw Cardinal", step by step. I know it's weird, this bird is a cardinal, and his name is Cardinal. You will often see this bird with Raccoon. He is like a parrot to a pirate. Anyways, have fun drawing Cardinal, I don't think he talks much, but I could be wrong. See ya guys and have fun.
