How to Draw Inkay

Begin with a circle for the head, then draw in the outline for the pirate shaped head cone. Sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Next, begin drawing the shape of the head or face, then draw in all of Inkay's tentacles which are in different poses.

Here you will completely sketch out the shape of the head which is cone shaped, then draw the one fin that is flapping in the breeze.

All you have to do here is draw in the trim lining, then draw the oval shaped circles that crown the forehead of the hat like shape.

Almost done people. Draw the circle shaped eyes, then draw the beak style nose and or mouth.

For the last step all you have to do is add the boxy top portion of the helmet. Erase your mistakes and then you are all done.

Here is Inkay when completed. Now all you have to do is color this Pokemon species in.

Description: You can't make a lesson on Malamar without doing a tutorial on "how to draw Inkay" which is what Malamar evolves from, or Inkay evolves to. This is a new Pokemon species that is extremely adorable and incredibly fun to draw. The squid or octopus like species has a pirate style head cap with fins that dangle on the sides of the face. Inkay sort of reminds me of a chibi style Pokemon because of the small stubbiness of it's stature. I had a lot of fun recreating Inkay into a step by step lesson so I hope you do too.
