How to Draw Anime Ice King from Adventure Time

Make the shapes for the head and torso like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Using the facial guidelines begin drawing in the face starting with the pointed nose and structure of the face.

Carefully sketch out the Ice King's evil looking eyes like so. Make sure the lining is dark or bold, and anime style. Sketch in the bushy eyebrows, then add the detailing in the form of wrinkling on the forehead and under the eyes.

Next, draw in the three pointed crown like so, and then add the three diamonds as well as the diamond detailing.

Before sketching out all of the Ice King's hair, you will need to sketch in the hair that peeks out from the crown. Add the bangs, then draw in some of the hair on the left side of the head.

Here you will work on getting almost all of his long bushy hair drawn out including the full beard. Make sure the lining for the facial hair and head hair are drawn with a roughness. Add detailing to his hair all around, then proceed to step seven.

Let's tackle the body now in the form of his clothing. First, draw the shoulders, then sketch the long wizard style sleeves. Notice how the material is wavy like there is ice cold wind blowing on him. Add detailing to the sleeves and when that is don

Next up, let's get his creepy hands drawn out. The hands are supposed to look slender and the fingers even skinnier. Add the nails and wrinkling on the hands as well.

Here is the last step. Draw in the rest of his clothing followed by the rest of his long hair which is swooping to the right as it curls in. Erase your mistakes then tweak the image if you need to.

Description: I'm super excited to be uploading this lesson for ya'll. I have been waiting to make this tutorial for a while now but never got around to doing it. I finally decided that yesterday was the day, and I also decided that I should draw this character during a streaming session so that's what I did. Finally, here is "how to draw anime Ice King" from Adventure Time. He came out so epic and the funny thing is I didn't even anticipate him to turn out the way he did. I wanted to really capture who the Ice King is and how he would appear in anime form. I think I will do more anime style lessons of our favorite cartoon characters because it can be so fun to do. I know that you will all love drawing the Ice King in anime form. Don't hesitate to share, link to, or talk about this concept because I would like everyone to join in on the fun.
