How To Draw Mick Jagger, Mick Jagger

1

To draw Mick Jagger, we should first sketch in some basic construction lines. Use a 2H or harder pencil and sketch very lightly so that the lines are easy to erase later on after we ink. Sketch out a basic stick figure shape such as this one. The lef

Next, we should draw the basic human figure. Doing this will help ensure that the figure is proportionate when we add clothing later on. You do not need to include details such as facial features or fingers, but be sure to include the construction li

Let's start with the eyes and nose. His left eye will be covered up by the nose, but a small portion of the eyebrow should be visible. His right eye should be partly close, so be sure to draw the eyelid somewhat large. Draw crow's-feet wrinkles next

4

Jagger is best known for his oversized lips. Feel free to exaggerate a little bit here if you wish. His mouth should be wide open and the upper lip should be curled up slightly, with the lower lip hanging low. Be sure to draw his teeth and tongue.

5

Now draw the contours of his face and his ear. The upper half of his ear will be covered by hair, so you only need to draw the lower half. His ear is somewhat large, however. His jaw line is very chiseled. Be sure to draw his forehead curving back to

Jagger has a full head of thick brown hair. It should be a few inches long and feather upwards in the back in some places. Strands of hair should fall on his forehead, covering his hairline. Notice how hair covers the top of his ear.

7

Draw more wrinkles on his face to make him look aged. Draw wrinkles mainly around the mouth and eyes.

8

Draw his neck which should be thin but muscular. We should be able to clearly see some vertical tendons and his Adam's apple bulging out.

9

The right arm should be bent back, with the lower part of the arm aimed towards his waist. He can be wearing a jacket, so draw plenty of folds and wrinkles in the sleeve, especially protruding from the inner elbow area. The bottom of the sleeve can b

The hand should be resting firmly on the waist, but fingers should pointing down. The hand should almost look strained at this angle. Be sure to draw his knuckles and fingernails.

The left arm can be bent upwards, as he will be clutching a microphone. Remember to draw wrinkles in the jacket's sleeve. The sleeve should fall a few inches down below the wrist since the fabric is being pulled so tightly. The palm of the hand will

Draw the microphone in his hand. You can draw the stand if you'd like. Be sure to draw the cord sticking out of the back. The mic has a round head and cone shaped body.

13

Draw the rest of his jacket, which should be unbuttoned. Draw a large lapel on the jacket's right side and some creases around the hand. At this angle, we will be looking at the inside of the left side of the jacket. We don't have to draw any detail

14

Next, draw his dress shirt under the jacket. The collar should be unbuttoned and one side of the collar should be nicely folded, but the other side should be unfolded. The bottom of the shirt should be tucked into his pants. Be sure to draw the butto

Finally, draw his pants and belt. They will be blacked out after we ink, so we should only be able to see the silver belt buckle.

We are now done penciling the image and we can now ink it. Use a Micron marker or a brush and India ink. Carefully go over each line with patience and be sure not to accidentally ink any unneeded guide lines. When the ink is dry, erase your pencil ma

You can add more depth to the image by giving it shadow. Establish your light source and use black ink or a fat tipped black marker to shade the opposite side of the figure, and every clothing wrinkle and fold. Black out the inside of the jacket flap

If you need to make any corrections, use white ink or opaque white paint. You can also use it to add highlights if needed. And that's it! That's how you draw the infamous Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones!
