How to Draw Daxter From Jak and Daxter

Step 1.

Ok so in the first step on how to draw daxter, we will begin with the basic frame for our character. Drawing the frame is always essential to making a well proportioned and neat character. If you just drew a body raw, you would be in some trouble. Your time would be wasted because you didn't use the core of drawing a body. ALWAYS begin with a frame! That is rule number one! Are we all ready to journey step 2?

Step 2.

Ok so now in this step we will layout the basic baby steps to making our Daxter shape up! This is when the drawing process is taken to a whole new level! Draw in the stomach, arms, face, and legs of the body! After you have done those things, you can proceed on to the next stage of drawing our Daxter.

Step 3.

Okie Dokie, In this process of the drawing tutorial we will begin by adding in the legs, tail, and some of the face. When you do this, make sure you curve up the edge of the stomach area. Daxter has to be curvy because of the mixed breed he is in. There's nothing to really say about this step so mind as well succeed yourself to the next one!

Step 4.

Ok peeps, in this step we will draw in more detailed parts of the structure of Daxter. This includes drawing the rest of the feet, the stomach, arms, face, and the guidelines for the ears. Like I said in step three, make sure you make the edges curved and not sharp. When you do this the character will look bouncy, clean, and awesome. Are you prepared to take a leap of faith to the next step??

Step 5.

Step 6.

Ok this is pretty much the lineart work for the daxter character (we) you just drew. You can see how black and white looks perfect on the paper together. Usually when I sketch, I crosshatch. Alot of aspiring artists ask me 'what do you use to draw your pictures' 'what's a wacom tablet'" I tell them that I use a wacom tablet to draw my pictures. Sometimes I draw alot of my pictures on regular pieces of paper. I use a mechanical pencil as well. A wacom tablet is something artists use to draw or paint with. Well, I hope all of you enjoyed my tutorial on how to Daxter From Jak and Daxter! Have fun and happy drawing people!

Ok people, today we will be learning how to draw the game character Daxter from Jak and Daxter! I know many people have been asking me to make a tutorial on Daxter to complete the collection of the Jak and Daxter gaming characters. Remember how I finished off the two priceless characters from Ratchet and Clank? Well in this tutorial we will be learning how to draw Daxter from Jak and Daxter. I have to say I never really played this game before. I remember when I was little and the Playstation came out, I used to see the TV add for Jak and Daxter all over the commercials. I used to wonder what if link was Jak’s cousin or something. My mom used to tell me that Jak was Link’s brother. As you all guessed, I believed her. Anyways, our little character Daxter has appeared in three games so far. One was Jak and Daxter, then Jak and Daxter 2, and then Daxter. The new game was released not too long ago. When I play Turok and add friends to my friends list on the PS3 network, a lot of people are playing the Daxter game. Oh yeah, today I had a real blast playing Turok with online members that were playing it! It was awesome but very frustrating! I love using special moves on the dinosaurs when you’re equipped with a knife. In the game the knife and bow are the most powerful weapons! So anyways, Daxter is supposed to be an ottsel. You may be wondering ‘what the heck is a ottsel’ to answer your question an ottsel is a mix of an otter and a weasel. I know it’s hard to believe that Daxter is actually an animal that’s half and half. I thought that Daxter was a rabbit or something. Well I hope this tutorial will help you out on how to draw Daxter from Jak and Daxter step by step! Drawing him was a real treat! He was very challenging when I was drawing his pose! I had to reference some images so that he looks like the actual Daxter character. References are the key to making sure your drawings are accurate! I use them sometimes when I need help drawing something. Like I always say have fun drawing and never give up!
