How to Draw Kangaroos

1

The body of the kangaroo has the form of a pear, the head is small and elongated, the forelegs are very small and thin while the hind legs are large and powerful with large feet adapted for leaping, the tail is long and muscular and used for balance.

2

The forepaws of the kangaroo have five toes with non retractible claws. They are similiar to human hands. The hind paws, instead, are very large and have four clawed toes, one toe is bigger than the others.

3

The kangaroo head starts with the guide lines. A circle, two large ears, muzzle and neck. Add also the guide lines inside the circle.

4

Draw the big and round eyes and the nose with two large nostrils.

5

Draw the mouth, finish the muzzle and start drawing the outline of the head.

6

Draw the ears, finish the head and draw the neck. Use zigzag lines to create the effect of the fur.

7

Add the last details, like fur into the ears and fur on the face and on the neck.

8

With some more work you should have something similiar to this pencil sketch.
