1

Begin with the shape for his head, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

You will now begin drawing out the actual shape of Stalin's head and face like so, then draw in the ear and hair line.

3

The next thing we will do is sketch out Stalin's thick eyebrows. You will then draw the shapes of his eyes as well as all the wrinkles and creases under and around the eyes. Add some wrinkles on the forehead, then make the crinkle between the eyebrow

4

Next, sketch out Stalin's nose, then draw in his thick black mustache. Add the frown lines around the nose and mouth, then sketch in the bottom lip and chin. Also add the remaining detailing to his face.

5

Joseph Stalin wore his hair combed back in a slick like style. Sketch out the rest of his head shape, then draw in the detailing to his hair. You will also need to draw the ear, then sketch in detailing inside the ear.

6

Okay guys, this is your last drawing step. All you have to do here is sketch out the shape of his neck, then draw in his jacket collar, shoulders, and then add detailing to his suit. Detail the neck, then erase the mistakes.

7

Here is Stalin when you are all done. Now you can color in your drawing when you are ready.

Description: I know some of you guys got bent out of shape with the submission of Adolf Hitler and then again some of you understood that even though he was evil, he was still part of worldwide history. That is the same reason why I am uploading this lesson on "how to draw Stalin", step by step. Joseph Stalin was born Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili on December 18, 1879 in Gori Georgia. Back then Georigia was part of the Russian Empire. Since his father was a cobbler, Stalin and his family grew up in a middle class environment. They didn't flaunt and they didn't have much, they lived a modest lifestyle. Anyways, growing up Joseph studied Marxist literature even though he never graduated from any collage or school. He started to get into the revolutionary movement that was taking place against Russia. He loved it so much; he devoted fifteen years of his life as an activist. Because of his involvement with various activists, he was arrested more than once as well as sent to exile to Siberia. When 1922 rolled around he became the general secretary of the Communist Party which was just considered a starting point for his future position. He used the time as general secretary to build a following base and by the time 1924 rolled around, he was well on his way to becoming the dictator of the Soviet Union. When Stalin reigned, he was responsible for millions, and millions of lives. He was responsible for more deaths than Hitler. Even though he increased economic growth within the Soviet Union, the amount of lives lost for his cause was absolutely atrocious. Stalin also used slave labor camps as well as executed thousands of people. Yes it’s true that Joseph Stalin was a monster as well, and he is considered one of the most murderous dictators of his time. He ruled over the Soviet Union for twenty five years. His tyranny and powerful maneuvers made him one of the evilest men of his time. Yes he did all these horrible things, but he also had something to do with tacking out Nazism. Joseph Stalin died on March 5, 1953 by stroke from being in a constant paranoid state. If you didn't know anything about Stalin before, at least you know now. I will be back with more lessons for you all so stay tuned in.
