Draw the shape of the head like so then sketch in the facial guidelines.

You will draw out the structure of Johann's face like so, then include the small waves from his hair. He wears a white wig that falls and rests on the sides of his face.

3

Using the facial guides begin drawing the face starting with the eyebrows. Draw and color them in. Draw out his broad nose, then add the wrinkled frown around the nose. Draw and shade in the top lip, then proceed to step four.

4

Draw the eyes, color in the pupils, then sketch in the double chin and bottom lip.

5

Draw the outline of the bell shaped hairstyle, then add rows and curls throughout the style. Detail his hair, then draw the folds or flaps for the jacket that he is wearing.

6

For the last drawing step all you have to do is sketch out the collar, then add the crease or fold lines to his shirt. Erase the mistakes as well as the guidelines.

7

The line art should come out looking like this. Color him in and show folks your finished drawing.

Description: We will continue with drawing tutorials based on famous German people from our history. Up next, we will learn "how to draw Bach", step by step. Johann Sebastian Bach is one of the worlds most greatest composers. His love for music has always been a part of Johann's life growing up around music all the time since his whole family was involved with music in some way shape or form. His father Johann Ambrosius Bach was his town's musicians. More than one person in his family introduced an instrument to him to play. His father taught Bach how to play the violin and the harpsichord and music theory. His brother Johann Christoph Bach introduced and taught Sebastian the clavichord, as well as other contemporary music. Johann Sebastian Bach was probably one of the most admired, loved, and recognized. Other composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Robert Schumann, Felix Mendlssohn and Chopin all followed Bach. At one point Beeton said that Sebastian was the “original father of harmony”. Just hearing that makes me quiver because I can feel how much love Ludwig had for Bach's music. If it wasn't for Bach, the above mentioned wouldn't have found the sound that made them unique. I really enjoyed drawing Johann Sebastian Bach, as I hope you will too.
