how to draw a dragon back leg

How to Draw a Dragon Back Leg

Step 1.

Start out with a circle for the shoulder. Draw a diagonal line to the right and another circle for the elbow. Draw a diagonal line to the left that is roughly the same length as the line before. Draw a circle for the ankle and a small line that marks where the foot will go.

Step 2.

Start to flesh out the leg. Leave the foot alone for now.

Step 3.

Now it's time for the foot. Draw three sharply curved lines for the toes, making the middle one longer than the other two. Add a smaller curved line at the back of the foot for the thumb.

Step 4.

Draw in the toes. This part is kind of hard to explain in words...

Step 5.

Draw in the claws. This is the stage to add any details you want.

Step 6.

Here is the finished front leg of the dragon!
