Here you will start with two shapes, one for the head and the other will be in a pickle shape. Add the facial guides when you are done.

2

Next, sketch out the structure of the head, then draw out the mouth opening as well as the back line and chest line.

3

Here is a quick guide to drawing their fins. Start by making a flower petal like shape. Next, draw in the fingers starting with a thick thumb and smaller digit. Draw in the rest of the fingers on the seal's fin, and add detailing.

4

Using what you just learned, begin drawing the seal fins like so. Don't forget the detailing.

5

Draw in the face which is the eye, nose and teeth. The mean expression on this seal's face makes him look like a dreadful sea beast. Sketch in the definition on the body, then move to step six.

6

Finish drawing out the leopard seal by sketching out the arched back, sunken in belly, and long back fins. Add detailing after you have erased your mistakes and guides.

7

Here is how the seal looks when you are all done. Now you can color in this mammal so you can proceed on to something else.

Description: Okay, so I'm literally almost done uploading all the lessons that I made yesterday. Here is another animal tutorial that some of you may, or may not be familiar with. Up next I will show you "how to draw a leopard seal", step by step. These seals come from the Antarctic, to sub-Antarctic waters. The leopard seals get their names from the small spotting that their coats have. Now just because this animal is a 'seal', that doesn't mean they are friendly critters which is what most people think they are. Leopard seals are actually considered vicious predators that have a strong drive to hunt and feed. Their diets consist of seals, fish, and squid. They will hide themselves under the water beneath ice cliffs. If they are in the right spot, they can get a couple birds from the sea for a snack. Leopard seals can grow to be as big as eleven feet long, and eight hundred forty pounds. Their life expectancy is anywhere between twelve and fifteen years. Anyway, I wanted my tutorial of the leopard seal look fierce like their personalities really are instead of a sweet looking seal with a smile on it's face, I do hope you enjoy drawing a leopard seal, at least you learned something new today about an animal species.
