How to Draw Diablo, Diablo the Prime Evil

1

I've decided to create an extra few steps in this tutorial for the profile view of Diablo. I find his design really intriguing to draw from various angles. The shape of Diablo's head is that of a skull with a huge crest of horns that spiral outwards.

Next, let's not get too discouraged by looking at this thumbnail of steps. I know it looks like intense amount of work, which is why this tut is for advanced artists. Now, if you've got the patience, let's work on the easier parts, which is the lower

Ok guys, let's get to drawing the actual preview image of this tutorial. Now, you'll again, want to start with basic guidelines to build form onto. When drawing or sketching, you'll always need a basic foundation to lay your future form onto. let's d

Next, let's begin the essential build of Diablo's face. Remember, his brows are overshadowing most of his eyes. They also connect to the six channels of horns which make up his crest. Now, once you've drawn the eyebrows, move downwards to the shape o

Ok, this is going to be a huge breath-ful of work, because now we're going to work on the beautiful aesthetics of this awesome demon. Let's work on the eyes first. Remember to use thin line weights for these intricate details, because we're trying to

Then, we're going to jump right into drawing the framing crest of horns. Honestly, start from the left horn to the right. I find it easier to do this because of the perspective. If you know how to draw the horns at the left in a narrow position, draw

Alright, I'd like to call this the 'Better Dead Than Alive Step', because there is just so much overwhelming work to be done. If you don't want to sketch all these tiny lines, skip to Step 8 and finish the drawing by sketching the shoulder lines. I d

Lastly, draw the shoulder lines, again, using thick lines. This will kinda complete the look for Diablo, just with a cut off head, hehe. Just a heads up, take a big piece of charcoal (or if you're using pencil, a huge sharpener!), and shade in a very

After everything has been drawn, this is what you should have, or something similar to this. Now, let me tell you, drawing this guy and all the thin lines took A LOT of work! I spent nearly 2 hours sketching, inking, and coloring this beast. It was f

Description: Guys! Guess what? Knowing that the video game 'Diablo 3' came out not too long ago, I've decided to bite the bullet and create a difficult tutorial on 'how to draw Diablo the Prime Evil', step by step. Now, let me tell you, this character is probably the most brutal and coolest demon I've ever seen in a video game. The face and the horns are just too cool. I thought the body design could have been worked on before finalizing. The video game cinematic with the fight between Diablo and the angel was pretty cool, but I didn't expect his body to look so lanky and feminine, especially his gait or strut, reminded me too much of a female model walking the catwalk. As I worked on this painting/drawing, I listened to a few songs by Skinny Puppy and Rammstein. Worlock, Smothered Hope, Mein Teil, Sonne and Cullorblind. It kinda influenced me to create a cool concept instead of my usual digital work. I hope you guys will enjoy this one, I had fun with a new scale etching technique during painting. Thanks so much for viewing and don't forget to let me know which class you play in Diablo 3. Peace and love, and good luck!
