1

First things first, make a large plus sign like so. This will be the base for your cross.

2

Using the guides, draw out the eagle first. Start with the straight lined head and beak, then draw the neck, and the arch of the wings.

3

Continue with drawing the eagles wings but when you do this make sure that they are in a cupped shape. The tail and tail feathers should come together to form a spear tipped shape.

4

Draw in the eye, then draw the iron cross which is wrapped around the eagles neck with a cloth like band. Once this is done you can move along to step five.

5

You will now draw out the entire design of the iron cross. As you can see you will have to work your way around the cross when drawing it out. Each side should be curved the same but be sure the eagle remains in the center.

6

Before you sketch in all the detailing to the cross, you need to erase your mistakes first. When that is done you can proceed with the process of adding all the fine engraving and detailing like so.

7

In the end here is what your iron cross tattoo looks like when you are all done. Now you can either color it in, or take the line art to your favorite tattoo parlor.

Description: I uploaded a drawing to Faceboook that I made yesterday and it was a hit with some people that like iron crosses in general. I decided to make the iron cross once again because the old one I have is just horrible. The coloring job and steps are so amateur, and for me that is one of those lessons that needed to be redone or a new one made. So to start the day I will be showing you "how to draw a tattoo iron cross", step by step. I really love the design of this cross because I went beyond my expectations by adding a really nice eagle in the center of the cross. This is one of those pieces that will be loved by so many folks that really enjoy tattoo art. I know there are a few people that have been waiting for this tut all day so here it finally is. This would actually make a great inking design for anyone that is looking for a cool cross for their back, arm, or even chest. I will be back in a few with some more lessons that I think you will enjoy. For now have fun with drawing tattoos or an iron cross tattoo. Remember, iron crosses stand for something, do you know what? Peace people!
