Since I uploaded a lesson on a baby dolphin, how about a couple more animal lessons for you all. Here is how to draw a prairie dog, step by step. Prairie dogs despite their odd appearance are in fact animals that dwell in the open grasslands of North America. They look like squirrels, but they are the size of rabbits. These small animals live underground inside burrows, tunnels, and chambers. The entrance to their dwellings usually look like mounds with holes at the top. Like beavers, prairie dogs spend almost their whole day building their homes and fixing homes that are worn down or destroyed. They like to keep a safe dwelling for their family which normally consists of a male, and a couple of females. An interesting fact is how not all prairie dogs like one another. Family members help with fighting off other dogs that try to inhibit their homes or dwellings. The average lifespan of a prairie dog is around three to four years. They can weigh anywhere between two to four pounds, and oddly enough they are herbivores. Anyways, this is a real cute example on drawing a prairie dog. I hope you like it, and I also hope you learn something new.
