The comic book star I have for you today is going to be in the Iron Man 3 movie which will be coming out in 2013. Iron Man has two new enemies that he has to stand up against and one of them is going to be played by Ben Kingsley. Today I thought I would get a head-start and upload a tutorial on "how to draw The Mandarin", step by step. The Mandarin has been apart of Marvel Comics since 1964 when he made his first debut in Tales of Suspense which was issue #50. The Mandarin's father was a wealthy man who lived in the mainlands of China. His mother was an English woman who fell in love and soon after the Mandarin was born. Unfortunately his parents passed away which left him to be raised by his aunt who instilled the rage she had against the world onto him. All the money that he had inherited from his parents all was spent on his childhood. It was used for his training in combat as well as in science. Now because Mandarin was trained consistently from an early age, by the time he was a man, all of the money had been spent which left him broke and bitter. He was later evicted from his home by the Chinese Government due to the fact that he could not pay the taxes which where owed. Once he become homeless Mandarin's anger was fueled to a boiling point. He traveled to a place where no one should or would go which was the 'Valley of Spirits'. While there he found an ancient star-ship that belonged to Axonn-Karr, who was an alien from planet Maklu IV. Mandarin was so fascinated with the advanced technology as well as the ten alien rings he found with the skeletal remains of Axonn-Kar, in just a few years he learned to master the alien science and became an absolute power monger over all of China. He soon longed for world domination which is why he started to gain enemies faster than a fly lays maggot eggs. The Mandarin has always been an archenemy to Tony Stark or Iron Man and in the film you will see what he's all about. Mandarin has a few tricks up his sleeve as he possess powers from the ten rings. Both of his hands are considered dangerous weapons because each one has different powers. Mandarin's left hand has five different abilities because of the five fingers and they are; ice blast, mento-intensifier, electro-blast, flame-blast, and white-light. For the right hand and fingers the powers are; black light, disintegration beam, vortex beam, imp[act beam, and matter rearranger. Now because Ben Kingsley will be playing the Mandarin, I drew him instead of the actual comic book villain. I think either way you will enjoy drawing the Mandarin regardless. I hope that you all stick around for more drawing fun. Stay tuned and enjoy!
