How to Draw Skull Head, Tattoo of a Skull

Step 1.

Begin with a circle for the skull's head then add a facial guideline.

Step 2.

Next, draw the lining to form the angle of the skull's face. This should include the grooves for the teeth as well as the cheek bones. Draw the back of the head, then you're done here.

Step 3.

Now that a majority of the skull is all drawn out, you can get started with the facial features. Begin with the large eye sockets, then draw the nose hole. You will need to add some definition around the eye lines as well as draw the bony brow bone. Draw in the teeth, then sketch in the grooves above each tooth arch.

Step 4.

Color in the sockets in a grungy manner like you see here, then sketch in all kinds of cracks and dents on the skulls surface. This will add texture as well.

Step 5.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the banner which is wrapped around the entire head with only the mouth and back portion of the head bare. Add some detailing and definition to the banner so that it looks old and tattered. Erase the mistakes then you're ready to move onto the next challenge, coloring in your work.

Step 6.

Now that you are all done, your new skull tattoo design should come out looking like, or somewhat like the image you see before you now.

So I've realized I've never submitted a tutorial on a simple skull and twisted – ripped banner wrapped around it. In this simple yet cool tutorial, I will show you the basics on "how to draw a skull tattoo head", step by step. This shouldn't be difficult as I made the steps easy as possible. Make sure you ready yourself with the sufficient drawing tools like a pencil, paper, eraser, or even ranged softness of Graphite pencils. To have knowledge of using varied softness of graphite, I would suggest checking out Catlucker's and Finalprodigy's tutorials on shading. Anyways, I've gotta get moving onto my other lessons, hopefully you'll enjoy this one! Let me know how you did and if you have any problems with this tut. Peace out and have fun :)
