To make your own rooster, all you have to do is start by drawing two shapes, one for the head and another for the body. When the shapes are drawn in, you can connect them with the neck guide.

2

For step two, you will be drawing out the beak as well as the dangling wattle.

3

Next, begin drawing the actual shape of the rooster's head like so, and take the same lining to form the back of the neck. You will then draw some of the wing as well as the comb on top of his head.

4

Continue the drawing process by making the crescent shaped chest, and some more of the back part of the body in the form of the arch of the back. Draw the thigh, and move along to step five. Oh wait, did I forget to tell you guys to draw the eye and

5

You are almost there folks. Draw the legs and rooster feet, as well as the toes.

6

Here is the fun part, draw the long tail feathers which curl over like a pretty feathery fan. Clean up any mistakes you made along the way as well as the guidelines and shapes.

7

Here is your new rooster, now it's time to color him in. Don't forget to make the tail feathers a greenish blue color if you choose to make your rooster a Rhode Island Red too.

Description: Here we have another tutorial on yet another bird. This bird is called a rooster, and it was drawn to replicate the roosters I have called 'Rhode Island Reds'. I was watching them yesterday and I thought to myself "it would be cool to make a tutorial based on drawing a rooster for kids". My little sister is what I like to call a 'chicken whisperer' because no matter what kind of mood the chickens are in, they seem to like when she picks them up and holds them for a while. I think these birds are cool, they are nothing like you think they're gonna be when you have some chickens roaming around. The only thing that gets me annoyed with these roosters, is all the crowing they do. It's like a endless song that goes on and on. Nonetheless, they are still very entertaining birds to watch as well as own. I had fun making this tutorial for my little sister on "how to draw a rooster for kids,/strong". Have fun with it guys and make sure to rate and comment to let me, and others know what you think. Adios mi amigos!
