Remember when I said I had two animals to submit? Well, here is the second, and I think you will find that this species is as beautiful as they come. Today, I will be showing you "how to draw a songbird", step by step. The name of these birds are not a single species in general, instead they come together as group because birds that are labeled ‘songbirds’, are also called land birds. Since spring is right around the corner, we will be hearing more and more beautiful tunes that will come from beautiful singers that stay perched in the trees. There are literally hundreds of bird species that fall in the songbird group. Some names you may recognize, and some you may not. The other thing that these winged wanderers have in common is how colorful they are. Some birds that sing their lovely songs in Spring throughout summer, are; Ruby-Crowned Kinglets, Purple Martains, Yellow Warblers, Finches, Bluejays, Indigo Buntings, and many, many more. The bird that you will be getting a lesson on is the beautiful Indigo Bunting. Robins, and Flycatchers are also amongst the others that fall in this category. All of them feed on basically the same thing, berries, seeds, insects fruit and nectar. One of my favorite animals to draw is birds, which means this was a really fun project for me to do. I made sure to keep it simple, but beautiful and precise at the same time. I think you will enjoy drawing a songbird even if you have nothing better to do.
