How to Draw a Tasmanian Tiger, Tasmanian Wolf

1

You will be drawing this animal from the side, so start by making a few shapes and some guides. Begin with a head shape, then draw the torso, and back end. Add a neck guide and then draw the outlined shape of the snout.

2

You will now begin sketching out the Tasmanian wolf's head structure. Start with the head, snout or muzzle and then draw the ears and mouth line. Notice how the jaw starts fluffing a bit.

3

On the side of the face, draw the jawline and then begin sketching in the face and all the detailing associated with the face. Draw the shape of the eye as well as color it in. You will then sketch in the tip of the nose and then add some detailing i

4

Now that the head and face is all drawn out, you will begin sketching the body. Draw the neck, and then the first front leg and paw. Notice the toes and how arched they are.

5

Next, draw the body until you have a smooth look like so. The tail is rat like and the chest should be drawn in like a drum. Make the stomach and then draw the other front leg.

6

Finish the Tasmanian tiger's body by drawing the back legs and then the back paws. Sketch in the detailing on the hocks, and then sketch in some light details on the back of the leg.

7

For your last drawing step, all you need to do is draw in the tiger like stripes, and then sketch in some body detailing scattered throughout. Clean up the drawing and you are all done.

8

Okay here is your new drawing of a Tasmanian tiger and or wolf. Color it in and you are really finished.

Description: Sometimes there is speculation to whether a certain animal species is truly extinct, or is just in good hiding. There is an animal that I have been reading articles on, and it’s not because I was looking for particular information on it, it’s more like the mention of another species in comparison was being talked about in a few articles I read online. The mention of this animal got me to thinking that it would probably be cool, and educational to share with all you animal lovers out there some information as well as a tutorial on "how to draw a Tasmanian tiger", step by step. These odd looking creators are said to be extinct, and the last known one to be alive was back in 1910. They are from Australia, Tasmania and New Guinea, and they are also known as Tasmanian wolves and the thylacine. Despite their dog like appearance, these animals are actually marsupials. Both female and male Tasmanian tigers have a pouch. The males use their pouches to cover their genitals which enable them to hunt in undesirable areas like thick prickly bush, and the pouch also helps when the thylacine fight other males. Scientists believe that the closest known relative to the Tasmanian tiger or wolf is the Tasmanian devil, and or the numbat. They were carnivores in every sense of the word, and they also had a ruthless way to take their prey down. The species to me is pretty awesome looking and even though it is believed that the Tasmanian tiger or wolf is extinct, there has also been sighting of the Tasmanian wolf as well as footprints. Well, I guess that’s about it. Have fun drawing a Tasmanian tiger, and I will get busy with uploading the rest of the tutorials I have for you today. Peace people and enjoy!
