How to Draw Zach Galifianakis, Zach Galifianakis

1

Are you ready to have fun? Good, here we go. Begin with sketching out a circle for the head and then lightly sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Using the facial guidelines that you just drew in step one and begin drawing out his eyes. The lining should be thick and bold for that intense stare. Sketch in some wrinkles or bags under the eyes and along the corners.

3

Before you sketch in the eyebrows be sure to draw in the creases that gives his eyes that stare that he is famous for. Once the creases are drawn in between the eyes, you can begin the process of sketching in his thick, bushy eyebrows. Take your time

4

This step should be easy enough because all you have to do is draw in his mouth or lips. Zach has small, skinny lips, but they are almost frowned instead of smiling.

5

Since his face is covered with facial hair, the easiest way to tackle this step is to start at the center of his head, and then begin drawing swift clean lines as you begin creating his hair line and shape of his face. The beard should be hairy becau

6

Slowly begin the process with sketching in his fully grown beard as well as his mustache. The flow of the beard or facial hairs are pretty much flowing in the same direction with a wavy stroke. Lightly sketch in some forehead wrinkles and then move a

You will now finish off his face by drawing out his wavy, wild hairstyle. There should be plenty of small curls like so, and the hair strands should be detailed and defined for added texture.

8

And lastly, draw the neck, shoulders and shirt collar like so. Be sure not to rush through this step because after all this is the final step. Clean up your sketch and you're done.

Here is the finished sketch when you are all done. Now you can color in your drawing and show folks what you have just done.

This is the full view of Zach when I was all done coloring him in. I had so much fun, and hopefully you do too.

Description: I sort of saved the best for last when it came to my tutorial day. I know I showed you guys how I drew and painted Zach Galifianakis, but here is the actual tutorial in a step by step process that is without a doubt one of my favorite portrait drawings I have ever done. I’m using this new drawing technique to try and make the portraits easier to replicate when you follow the tutorial. To end the tutorial day I will show you guys "how to draw Zach Galifianakis", step by step. I know a lot of you guys are familiar with Zach from the film ‘The Hangover’, and I agree with you all when you say that it is an awesome movie. But to tell you the truth, I became a fan of Zach when I first seen him in ‘Due Date’. He starred with Robert Downey Jr. and I have to say that they made one heck of a pair. Once I watched Due Date I was addicted and wanted to watch more movies that starred Zach Galifianakis. That is when I rented and later bought Hangover, and then watched some episodes of ‘Between Two Ferns’. I watched most of the interviews that he conducted, and one of my three favorites where with Will Farrell, Natalie Portman, and Sean Penn. Of course I enjoyed all the interviews especially the one with Ben Stiller and Michael Cera. Zach began his acting career back in 1996 when he played the role of a stoner on a short lived sitcom named 'Boston Common'. He later went on to co-star in other films such as Bubble Boy, Super High Me, and one of my favorites, Corky Romano. My love for his outrageous and outspoken personality became even stronger when I watched ‘The Hangover II’ the other day. I have to say, part two was so much better than part one, and I think it’s because it was more raw and crude. Believe me when I say that I absolutely love Zach Galifianakis as an actor and comedian. He is my number one favorite and I can’t wait to see this North Carolina native in more films in the future. I hope you like this lesson on Drawing Zach Galifianakis as much as I did creating him. I will be back tomorrow with some more fun and exciting lessons for you all so come back around.
