How to Draw The Phantom, Phantom of the Opera

1

You will be drawing the faint face of The Phantom as well as the beautiful rose that he likes to eave for Christine. Start by drawing some simple lines for your face and flower guides. Make a long vertical line with a slight tilt for the face, and th

Slowly start sketching out the half mask that The Phantom wears to hide his disfigured face. The lining has many curves and contours to create the ceramic style plate that covers one side of his face. Draw the hole for his eye, and then draw in the n

You will now sketch out his cheek, chin, and closed lips like you see here. Also sketch in some crease lines to define the chin.

4

Color in some shading inside the eye until an actual eyeball is formed. Draw the brow, nose and cheek defining lines to add depth and realism to his mask.

5

Let's step away from the face and begin working on the rose. Start in the center of the rose and begin drawing the petals. Take your time so that your flower come out perfect.

6

Continue to draw out the rose until the entire flower except for the stem is drawn out. Next, draw the leaves, and then move along to step seven.

7

Now you can draw the stem of the rose as well as the thorns and leaves that flow down the stem. Add some detailing to the leaves before you proceed onto the last step.

8

Now for the final step. All you have to do is color in the entire left side of Phantom's face until it forms into his hidden face. Clean up the drawing to perfection and lets see how things should look when you're done.

Description: Hello one and all, and welcome back to another fun lesson that is going to knock the socks off of some of you members and visitors. Today’s tutorials are going to be fun, challenging, and some will even be a bit simple. I will start things off with a submission of something beautiful. To begin, we will tackle the task of learning "how to draw The Phantom", step by step. I recently became a fan of this movie a few months ago and the reason why I did a tutorial on it, is because I was browsing through some images on Google looking for a good mask that me and my eight year old sister could paper Mache a replica from. We worked on a neat first time project that she has never done before. To my surprise the Phantom of the Opera mask popped up and I was instantly drawn to the white half mask with the faint rose faded off in the distance. After we made a paper Mache, I went to work and began a new journey. I love the way that the face came out looking and I hope you guys like this lesson. It was not requested by any member or visitor recently, but I think I may have gotten a request for it in the past. Of course anyone who has watched the movie or seen the actual opera knows that ‘The Phantom’ is not the real name for the character. The 2004 movie redo was the one I watched. It starred Gerard Butler as The Phantom, and he is the disfigured genius that lives in the Paris Opera House as he haunts the dwelling as well. He falls for a young girl named Christine and he then decides to take her under his wing to teach her how to sing with her amazing opera singing voice. I really loved the movie and I hope you guys will enjoy drawing The Phantom too. I shall return with more drawing fun so try to stay tuned in. Adios people and enjoy!
