How to Draw an Old Car, Old Car

1

The first thing you will draw is a lemon like shape that is going to be for the windshield, roof, and windows. Take your time so you only have minimal mess ups.

2

Next, draw in the actual windshield and draw the lining that forms the roof, and car door windows. Draw the side mirror like so, and then move to step three.

3

Next, start drawing the lining for the hood and then carefully draw in the front fender, bumper, and headlights. Draw the other side mirror, and then add some contouring to the car's body.

4

Continue to draw out the front bumper until it is finished. As you can see old cars had style and a lot more curves and angles. Once the bumper is drawn in start making the front grill and then the Pontiac symbol. Remember, this is supposed to be a r

5

We can now get started with drawing out the side or length of the car to finish the body. Draw the wheel well like so, and then follow the lining to form the frame. The same lining should also form the back tail fin. Draw the trunk and move along.

6

All you have to do here is draw in the chrome molding that runs along the side of the car. Draw the vertical lines for the door, and then draw the door handle.

7

Lastly, draw out each tire and then draw in the rimes and white walls on both tires. Draw the well around the tire, and then begin cleaning up the drawing.

8

This is the line art when you are all done. You can choose a color to add some splash to your old car. I hope you had fun guys, join me again tomorrow.

Description: After this tutorial, I will be calling it a night because I have to get some beauty sleep for another big day tomorrow. I was scrolling through my brother’s big book of cars, and I came across a small article on the red car from the Steven King book and movie ‘Christine’. When I was reading the article and looked at the picture, I knew right there that I wanted to make a tutorial on "how to draw an old car", step by step. These oldie but goodie cars were built so well and had so much style. I love the fin like fenders and how the cars where so long and stylish. Since there are a lot of movies out there that use old pink colored cars, I went ahead and colored in my old car pink. I think it came out so good, but it also knows that there still may be some flaws. Either way I like it, and if you always wanted to draw an old car, now is your chance. This is it guys, I will be calling it a day for now, but I will return. Be sure to come back tomorrow as we will have even more fun as we learn and draw.
