Begin with a large Y looking sketch. This is going to be your guide for the winter tree.

2

Instead of drawing out the trunk, branches, or twigs first, you will get started by sketching out the snow that is resting between the tree.

3

Now you can get started with drawing out the branches like you see here. There is three major parts to the trees design, and from those three major branches you will draw in the smaller, shorter twigs. Sketch in some small snow piles, and move along.

4

Finish drawing out the tree by sketching in the trunk and base. Sketch in some surface lines for the bark of the tree. This is also going to add texture. Clean up the drawing by erasing the mistakes and guides you made in previous steps.

5

Here is your winter tree when you are all done. Color it in, add a nice background and you are set. Great work everyone!

Description: Well guys, here is the last of the winter themed tutorials. To end the day I will show you "how to draw a winter tree", step by step. There really isn't too much to say about this lesson except, this looks like a lot of the trees in my yard minus the snow. We did get snow last week, but it was all gone the same day once the sun came out. Winter trees are great to draw because you can use them in landscape drawings, as well as Christmas scenes. There are many types of winter trees, but since this is how my autumn foliage looks as of now, I went with a bald twig ridden tree. You can choose to go with some pines, birch, or even oak if you like, it's all up to you. Anyways I guess that's about all I have to say. Enjoy drawing a winter tree, and be sure to rate, comment and fav the lessons you viewed today, as well as every other day. Peace out people!
