Steps: 6Updated: November 10, 2011P.O.V: FrontFavourited: 34 timesOk ok, so I've finally got around to doing a request, requested by many fans of “Black Veil Brides” a band that's been out for quite some time and made it's popular impression recently. This band is more of an alternative glam rock of some sorts, similar to KISS or Marilyn Manson. I don't really listen to this type of music due to so much screamo and hurt to my ears. This logo is pretty unique and cool. I love how the 'B's intertwine with the 'V', making it look ever so cool! I wonder who designed this; if it was one of the band members themselves, if you know, please leave a comment so folks are more aware of it's origin. Anyways, this was a fairly easy tutorial. I've had a few problems with the curves of the B's and the straightness of the V. Thanks so much for viewing and I hope all you BVB fans will enjoy this extremely requested tut. STEP 1.
First, let's start off with the basics. We'll want to draw the guidelines for the base of the logo so we can proceed to drawing the 'B's accurately.
STEP 2.
Next, we'll draw the first tip of the 'B', starting with the base lines, then working our way upwards to the curved area.
STEP 3.
To complete the right side, we'll draw the deep and very curved bottom part of the 'B'. This should be under-lapped by the overlapping top part.
STEP 4.
Let's repeat using the same rules as the previous steps. Try not to rush from this point on.
STEP 5.
Lastly, we'll draw the bottom part of the B, completing the drawing!
STEP 6.
With further line cleanup and proportion checking, you should have something similar to this. Make sure you ink/shade in your drawing to get the nice dark lines! I hope this was fun, have fun with your new drawing!Post a comment
