1

Make an egg shape for the skeleton's head shape and then add a face and body guide like so.

2

Using the guide you just drew, sketch out the actual shape of the head and top jaw. It is sort of shaped like a spade, or mushroom.

3

When drawing out the skeleton's eyes, start off by using a light stroke. When the eyes are made, thicken and darken the lining until it's bold. Sketch in some marks or dimples in the bone surface and move to step four.

4

The first thing you want to tackle here is the ribs. Make each one in a squiggle lining manner and be sure when you do this to make these marks wide. Next, draw the bones for the shoulders, arms, and hands.

5

Draw the shape of the pelvic area, and then draw in the legs, and feet. Clean up the drawing like so, and you are ready for color.

6

The line art s awesome because you can draw in any kind of tweaks you want to add. You can make this into a coll window accent for Halloween if you like, or just use it for something else.

Description: This is a tutorial concept that I never thought about until the last minute. Originally I was going to name this tutorial a chibi skeleton, but after doing some thinking and observing, I decided that calling it "how to draw a skeleton for kids", step by step would be better for those of you that want to make a real simple skeleton concept for the Halloween season. I was trying to think outside the box and do something that looked exactly like a skeleton, just a wee bit different. Instead of going insane with the individual rib bones, I came up with a way to make that task simpler, just make two wiggle lines. In the end I think artists of all skill levels will love drawing a skeleton for kids. It’s just so cute and irresistible. Peace people and have fun with all this drawing excitement.
