How to Draw a Saint Bernard Puppy, St Bernard Puppy
Since I haven’t done any puppy breeds lately, I thought today would be a good day to submit another, and yes it’s going to be based on a requested breed. So get those pencils in your hand because you are about to learn "how to draw a Saint Bernard puppy", step by step. These dogs are massively cute when they are pups, and they are also a breed that stays cute as an adult. Saint Bernards have thick, long coats and they are associated with being a rescue dog because of their smarts and ability to save people in sticky situations. Remember those cartoons where they would show these dogs with a small wooden keg attached to their collars? Well, I heard that there is supposed to be whiskey in those kegs and when the dog saves someone, the victim takes the keg and drinks from it. I think you will enjoy learning "how to draw a Saint Bernard puppy", and to be honest, I feel it’s one of the best puppy breeds I have done thus far. STEP 1.
Start by making some circle shapes, one for the head and the other for the body. Add some face guides and move on.
STEP 2.
Using the shape yo just drew, sketch out the actual shape of the long haired head and face like so, and then draw out the long sloping ears. Make sure to include the fuzz at the top of the head.
STEP 3.
Draw out two oval shapes for the eyes, and then draw in the eyeballs. When that is done you can make the marking lines around the eyes like so, and then draw in the thick lining for the mouth.
STEP 4.
Draw the nose tip, and then make the notch on the nose which is also the wrinkle or crease. Draw in the bottom lip or lining for the inside of the mouth and make some teeth.
STEP 5.
Now all you need to do is draw out the front legs and paws, and then draw in the toes too. Make sure that the fur or long coat is prominent and move to step six.
STEP 6.
For the last drawing step, sketch out the back part of the body and then draw in the hind legs and puffy, hairy tail. Add the markings on the body and then clean up the sketch freeing it from mistakes.
STEP 7.
Here is the line art when you are all done. Color in the puppy and now you have your very own drawing of a Saint Bernard in an adorable puppy form.Comments: Post Comment
That is one beautifully-hideous rat! There's so much going on in this pic... ugh, u and your details! very nice... now you got me wondering what the body would look like... hairy and purple I guess :P
