How to Draw a Sandwich, Sandwich

1

The first thing you need to draw is the shape of the bread slice. It's in rectangle form so you might want to grab a ruler to draw in the lines if you have a problem with making straight lines. The left lower corner of the bread has a slanted notch.

2

Using the funky shape you drew in step one, begin sketching out the actual shape of the slice of bread. This is a regular slice, and if you follow the steps image you should also have a drawing like the one you see here.

3

Believe it or not, but you will be drawing the face on this piece of bread right now. Start with the jellybean shaped eyes and then draw the mouth.

4

You will now draw out the first layer of yummy goodness. This can be lettuce, meat, or even a few tomatoes. For me I choose for it to be salami and a tomato slice.

5

Now you will draw out the cheese slice and like I said in the description, it is a piece of Swiss. I know the coloring shade is yellow, that is only because the sandwich would have looked funny with a white piece of cheese. Draw in the holes and move

6

Now comes the lettuce and notice how the edges are jagged. Draw this in, and move along still.

7

Draw in the final piece of bread and tweak the food a bit. Clean up the drawing and you are all done.

8

When you done you should have yourself a tasty sandwich like you see here. Color it all in and show someone what you have drawn.

Description: I found another food object that I thought would make a great lesson in chibi form. Since school is back in session, that means many of you are bringing lunches to school, or even eating from the cafeteria. Today, I will be showing you "how to draw a sandwich", step by step. I know what you must be saying, “a sandwich?” and my answer to that is “yeah, why not”. I love sandwiches and I know plenty of you do too. Making a sandwich is like drawing a picture. Now both tasks have a canvas, you’re also adding color and design to both things, and you are making what you want. Types of things I like to lay between two slices of bread is Swiss cheese, hot capicola, ham, and even a few slices of salami. Let’s not forget to add the mayo and a little spicy mustard. Anyway, no matter what type of sandwiches you like you eat, you can build a triple decker stomach wrecker if you wanted to. I didn’t add one, but don’t forget to add the toothpick and olive to dress up the top of the bread slice. Well that just about does it for me or for this tutorial. I hope you guys enjoy your Sunday before you have to go back to school tomorrow. Adios folks and peace out!
