How to Draw a Zombie Dog, Zombie Dog
Hey all! How about another cool zombified lesson for today? I know a cool tattoo is way overdo since my last one was an angel. I sketched, inked, and colored this dog live, with inspiration from the Resident Evil Cerberus A.K.A infamous doberman dog. Of course, I made mine gorier than the actual zombie dogs from RE. I've been a huge fan of the RE games up till Resident Evil 4, which didn't feature any type of classic zombies, but rather alienoid infected humans. It was like playing a video game of “the Thing” movie. This lesson is going to be difficult for all those novice artists out there. Not sure if anyone noticed, but the name tag has “Pookie” etched on it, as if the dog is adorable, hint hint. Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy this fun lesson on “drawing a zombie dog”, I had so much fun creating this tut. Thank you so much for watching me live and viewing this tutorial.

STEP 1.
This is probably going to be the easiest step of the whole tutorial. Start the shape by making a circle and then draw in one face guide.
STEP 2.
As you can see the steps are getting harder. Here you will sketch out the snout of the face, and this is pretty simple because all you are drawing is a horseshoe shapes and from there you will draw a nose on the inside. Next, draw a line for the left side of the face.
STEP 3.
You will now need to start taking your step because you will need to start sketching out more of the dog's face. Start by drawing the large pointed ears and the top of the head. Notice that the lining stroke is very shaky. This is because the dog's tissue is decaying. Continue the drawing process by drawing out the eyes, and then color in the shading and detailing like you see here. This also includes the markings on the dog'f face.
STEP 4.
You will now start drawing out the right side of the jaw, and because this is a zombie dog, the skin is going to be ripped and torn. When the lining is drawn in, you will need to sketch out the detailing on the nose, and all of the wrinkles or creases on the nose bride. The reason why the nose looks a little crooked is because I drew it to appear torn in half. Sketch in all of the exposed muscle and rotted out skin. The lining should be dark and somewhat bold.
STEP 5.
Start sketching in the hardcore teeth and fangs. These teeth should be drawn in a manner to make them chipped and used and able to pierce through anything. Draw in more of the jawline and then add some color or shading on the gums.
STEP 6.
Continue the lining until the entire jaw is sketched out. Once this is done the whole head and face will be complete. The next thing you want to do is draw out the tongue which is thrown to the side. Sketch in some dark shading and make the definition and detail lines bold.
STEP 7.
Now it's time to sketch in the thick neck. To make this dog look even more like a zombie, I draw the neck slightly arched, and I also include some broken bones sticking out of the skin. Draw the metal style dog collar, as well as the dog tag. To make the collar look aged and rusty, all you have to do is sketch in the shaded parts and color in under the dog's neck like s.
STEP 8.
You will now finish off this tutorial by drawing out the rest of the designs body. I only drew in more of the neck before it gets to the body. Instead of hair or a coat, I thought it would be uglier if I sketched the exposed skin in all muscle. Most zombies have bones, skin, muscle, and other bodily tissue hanging out from being chewed up, ripped, or beaten. Clean up the mistakes you made, and then add some darkened shading.
STEP 9.
Here is the finished drawing or line art when you are done. You can choose to color in this beast, or you can keep it as a cool sketch.Comments: Post Comment

Its a shame I have never heard of this game, but you draw the characters SO CUTE! Great job, like always, :D
