As some fans may know, Big Mac is Applejack’s older brother and like his sister, he too has an accent that sounds a lot like those from Missouri. I don’t know that much about this male draft pony, but I can tell you that he has a majestic and laid back appearance. The fact that he lives his day to day life in a blasé manner, suggests that he takes life for what it is, and goes with the flow. I think you will have fun drawing Big Macintosh because he really is an attractive horse that should be fun to draw. As you can see his body structure and frame is a bit more realistic than his female counterparts. I don’t know if there will be any more pony tutorials, but if there is I’m sure you will have a blast with those too. Adios people and I do hope you enjoy your Labor Day drawing weekend.

STEP 1.
The first thing you want to do is draw out three circle shapes. Once for the head, and two more for the torso, and back end. Once that is done connect the head to the torso.
STEP 2.
Using the shape you just drew in step one, begin sketching out the very blocky shape of Big Mac's head. This should include the ear, and then draw in his boyish mane.
STEP 3.
Now you will draw in the large flat looking eye and color in the pupil once you make the eyeball. Draw in three dots on his cheek, and then make the nose and mouth lines. Also before you leave, draw in some strands and add detailing to the ear.
STEP 4.
Draw the neck and robust chest, and then draw out the harness collar as well as draw in the front legs and large hooves. Add some detailing to the harness, and keep moving along.
STEP 5.
Draw out the back end of Big Mac, and then draw out the hind legs and the rest of the body which is the belly.
STEP 6.
For the last step, simply draw out the short but bushy tail and include the lines. The bottoms of each leg should have ruffled lines. This is due to the fact that Big Mac is a draft pony, and as you know draft horses have the long hair over the tops of their hooves. Draw in the apple cutie mark, and then clean up the drawing.
STEP 7.
This is how the pony looks when you are all done. Now you can go ahead and color him in and join Big Mac with his friends.Post a comment
