How to Draw Tom
Well howdy everyone I am back with another drawing tutorial for you all and this time the character I will be showing you how to draw is loved by all and adored by many. Today you will learn "how to draw Tom" the cat from the animated cartoon series Tom and Jerry. Tom is a rebel of a cat that lives life his way. He is often seen living with a large woman that is very strict with Tom. She doesn't take no crap from him and she lets him know it. I love Tom and his crazy antics. He is always trying to figure out a way to capture a mouse named Jerry. The only problem with Toms traps, ideas, and plans, is Jerry almost always seems to out do Tom in some way that leaves him hurting from the very traps he tries to catch Jerry with. I mean of course he is successful sometimes when one of his concoctions work, but other than that it never really looks to good for Tom. The only time I feel bad for him is when he gets kicked out for something Jerry did to make the Mrs come out to see what all the ruckus is. Or when Jerry starts bothering Tom while he is asleep beside his bowl of milk. Tom is a cute laid back cat that likes what every other cat enjoys, sleeping, eating, milk, birds, and chasing mice. Tom is a Russian blue cat with white paws and a white belly and he loves living a pampered life. He is also a very funny feline that was created back in 1940 by two fellas named William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for a company named Metro Goldwyn Mayer. The cartoon duo now airs on Cartoon Network and they still carry a strong audience. Learning "how to draw Tom and Jerry

STEP 1.
In this first step you will start by drawing out the guidelines and shapes. First make a circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. Make a neck line, and then draw the body shape.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the actual head structure for Tom's noggin. Be sure to draw the fluffy cheeks as well as his hair on the top of his head.
STEP 3.
Using the face guides begin drawing the oblong shaped eyes, draw thick eyebrows, and then draw the snout of Tom. Make the cheeks and then move along.
STEP 4.
Color in the eyeballs, and then draw the nose. Add some whiskers, and then draw the rest of his mouth, tongue, and muzzle markings.
STEP 5.
It is now time to draw in Tom's big cat ears and then draw in the hair inside of the ears.
STEP 6.
Starting from the back of the head, you will begin sketching out the hunched over back, and then draw the arms, hands, and then the chunky style fingers.
STEP 7.
Now that most of Tom is drawn, you can begin continue to draw out his body by drawing the back legs which are bent and then draw the feet and toes. Make the marking lines on the stomach as well as the wrists, ankles, and chest.
STEP 8.
Finally for the last step all you have to do is draw his tail and when you do this make sure to fork the tail at the tip. Clean up the drawing and you are ready to see what he looks like all done up.
STEP 9.
