How to Draw Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon
I know it may seem a little late to be submitting a character from Sailor Moon, but I was looking through some of my old chibis and came across chibi Sailor Moon. I then thought to myself that I never made a tutorial on "how to draw Sailor Moon", step by step. I can remember getting requests for her, but I never really paid too much attention because for some reason I thought that I already did that tutorial. Now that I checked, and double checked, I finally broke down and made a drawing out of the blond headed anime character that everyone knows by name and face. As almost all of you know, Sailor Moon is the main figure and character of the anime. Her real name is actually Usagi Tsukino, and throughout the series she lives a double life. I used to watch Sailor Moon a lot, but I haven’t really sit down and enjoyed an episode in over a year. I’m sure the plot and storyline is different now, and because of this I’m almost at a loss for words. I can however, show you "how to draw Sailor Moon", and she will be wearing her typical uniform. I guess that’s all I have to say for now. Don’t worry guys because I will return for more drawing fun. With my return you will be pleasantly surprised at what you find. !

STEP 1.
Draw one circle for the head, and then draw in the guidelines for the face, shoulders and torso.
STEP 2.
Sketch out the shape of her face, and then draw out the top muffin top style of her hair. Draw out some spaced hair strands, and in the middle of her forehead, draw two pieces arched.
STEP 3.
Using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, draw out her eyes, eyeballs, and color in some pupils. When that is done draw the thick lids or lashes, and then draw in the eyebrows, nose and mouth.
STEP 4.
All you have to do here is sketch out her ears like so, and then draw in her jewelry and face markings. Sketch in some minor detailing to the middle of her head, and move along to step five.
STEP 5.
One of the distinctive things about Sailor Moon's character, is her hairstyle for pigtails. Draw out two straw shaped ponytails like so, and then draw buns to where the head is. Add some detailing, and move along kiddies.
STEP 6.
It is now time to start working on the upper body. Start by sketching out her neck, and then draw the shoulders and even her folded collar. Draw in the big bow and then the sleeves for her dress. Draw in her necklace and proceed.
STEP 7.
Carefully draw out her arms, elbow pads, and then some more of her torso. She has the typical V like shape, so keep that in mind when drawing out Sailor Moon's body.
STEP 8.
Lastly, draw out her waist and hips, and then draw in the trim that wraps around the waist. Draw the skirt as well as the definition or design style for her dress. Once you are happy with the results, you can start erasing the steps for clean up.
STEP 9.
Here she is when you are done drawing Sailor Moon. Use some of her signature colors when you decide to shade her in. Let me see your finished artwork when you are all done.Comments: Post Comment
