How to Draw Cerberus, Cerberus

1

You are drawing a three headed beast and that means you will have to make three circles for each head. The shapes should be close together and end up looking like a cluster. Make anther shape for the body, and then add a face guide.

2

Begin the process of getting the snout or muzzle drawn. The mouth is open, so be sure to draw out both the top and bottom parts of the mouth.

3

Next, we will draw the outlining frame for the head of Cerberus. Take your time and get the curves drawn accurately to portray a cute and happy pup. Here, I made three personalities into the dogs; one is happy and go lucky, the next is rude and a bul

4

Using the face guides, draw in the dog's eyes like so, and then proceed onto getting the nose drawn as well as the teeth inside of the mouth. Sketch in the brows, and inner ear detailing.

5

Then, we will work on the next Cerberus head, which is the evil and arrogant one. Draw his ears thinner and pointer to portray a sinister look.

6

Move onto the facials that emphasize the snarl in this dog's face. Don't forget to sketch in the lower jaw and inner mouth details as well.

7

Next, finish his face by drawing the eyes and the final detailing in the mouth.

8

Next, it's time to work on the shy dog's head, keeping in mind she is shy so I'll give her floppy ears and a calm facial expression. Keep the outer shape of her head nice and soft so the others stand out more.

9

Finish her off by adding the eyes and nose, keeping her lashes very prominent and long so she'll look very cute!

10

Now, this step is VERY important, mainly because it's the building block to the entire body, which is key for proportioning the legs and paws. The heads should have even lengths of neck space and spacing, DO NOT draw either neck too fat or too skinny

11

We'll start off simple by drawing the paw first and working our way upwards to the elbow and finally, the shoulder. Keep the features soft and the paw lines nice and even.

12

Complete the other paw and leg, using your skills from drawing the first foreleg. This one is shifting it's weight to hold the body upwards. When you draw the very base of the paw, keep the upper area lumped a bit; mind you, this is the radius of the

13

Next, we will draw the back leg and stomach area to move onto the other leg. Keep this proportioned compared with the forelegs!

14

Sketch in the paws, making sure each nail is even with each other. Take your time, folks!

15

Before you ink your lines, proof your drawing so you'll have a nicely polished drawing afterwords! I really hope you've enjoyed this lesson, I had unbelievable fun creating it, since I have a major love for coloring and sketching creatures. Thanks so

Description: It looks like everyone on Facebook loves the new drawing that I turned into a tutorial. To start the day right I will be showing you guys "how to draw Cerberus", step by step. I already have one of these fantasy creatures on the site and if you go into the mythology section, I think you will find it there as well as other old mythical creatures that I drew a few years back. I was going to do a mean beastly looking three headed creature, but I thought that taking a turn on the cute and awesome side would be more rational since the mean, snarling version has already been done. I had so much fun drawing out this creature, and if you are a fan of Cerberus, you will definitely have a blast making a whole new version by using this tutorial on drawing one of Greek Mythology’s popular creatures from the underworld. Now just because these pups are adorable, that doesn’t mean they will be easy to replicate. I tried making the tutorial as easy as possible but unfortunately some of you that are novice artists might find some complex parts to the lesson. Even though there will be some difficulty I still feel confident that your drawing will turn out fantastic. Please upload your finished drawings or artwork when you’re done so others can see how you did. I will be back with another exciting and maybe even challenging submission. Look out for my return because that is exactly what I shall do in a few, Peace!
