Description: Well I am down to my last two tutorials for the day and I thought I would end them with a pain in my side. While I was relaxing on my couch yesterday I was sitting with my five year old sister watching Toy Story. While I was watching the movie, I almost forgot how funny it really was. I can remember being a little older than my baby sister when I was in love with the cowboy and space duo. So in honor of my past and my sisters present, I will be showing you "how to draw Woody" from Toy Story. This Disney computer generated film was absolutely the best. I mean they really did do a good job developing the characters and picking the voice talents for each and every character for the flick. Woody is an old cowboy pull string toy that is owned and loved by his kid Andy (he even has the inscription on the bottom of his boot to prove it). Woody absolutely loves Andy and Andy absolutely loves his toy cowboy. They have been doing almost everything together since Andy was just a toddler. Woody is also the leader of the other toys that Andy owns and he keeps them organized almost like a community leader would. His close buddies are Rex (voiced by Wallace Shawn), Mr. Potato Head (voiced by comedian Don Rickles), Bo Peep (voiced by Annie Potts), Sarge (voiced by R. Lee Ermey), Hamm (voiced by John Ratzenberger), Slinky (Woody’s “pet dog” voiced by Jim Varney), Etch who is an Etch a Sketch, Lenny the toy binoculars (voiced by Joe Ranft), and RC Andy’s remote control car that Woody uses to catch up to the moving van in the ending scene of the movie. There is one more buddy that I forgot or failed to mention and that is Buzz Lightyear the space toy that has more gadgets and gizmos that Woody can imagine. It is Buzz that threatens the very friendship that Woody feels is in jeopardy. He just doesn’t understand that Andy loves them both equally but will always have a special place for Woody because he has been his friend and buddy since he was very young. The character of Woody is outrageously funny and he often had me in pain from laughing so hard. That is probably due to the fact that the voice of Woody is played by seasoned comedian Tom Hanks. I think Toy Story is a classic tale of the friendship that kids have with their toys and how much they are appreciated when they are cared for. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Woody" from Toy Story step by step with easy to follow instructions. When you are done you can sit back and watch the movie and reminisce on how funny it truly was and still is.
